SPOILERS. SPOILERS. And more SPOILERS.

My friend urged me to watch the new Netflix hit, “Baby Reindeer.” She said everyone was talking about it, so I wanted to see what the buzz was all about.

“Baby Reindeer,” a gripping Netflix series written by Richard Gadd, delves into the unsettling territory of obsession, empathy, and the blurred lines between victim and perpetrator. Drawing from Gadd’s own harrowing experiences of being stalked, the show offers a raw and unfiltered portrayal of the psychological turmoil that ensues when boundaries are crossed and identities become entangled.

The narrative centers around a struggling comedian who extends an act of kindness to a vulnerable woman, unwittingly setting off a chain of events that spiral into a suffocating obsession. What unfolds is a tense and unsettling exploration of power dynamics, manipulation, and the complexities of human connection.

One of the most striking aspects of “Baby Reindeer” is its refusal to adhere to conventional storytelling tropes. Instead, it presents a nuanced portrait of two individuals grappling with their own demons…
