Going through a breakup is like riding a rollercoaster of emotions. Just when you think you’re moving forward, the past comes knocking, stirring up old feelings you thought you’d buried.

When my ex reached out after months and months of silence, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Our relationship had been intense, filled with highs and lows. What started as love turned into disappointment and drained me emotionally.

I tried to fix things, but in the end, I had to break it off for my own sanity. While it seemed sudden to him, it was a necessary step for me to find myself again.

After the breakup, we fell into a pattern of hookups and unresolved tension. I tried to move on, but he lingered in my life like a ghost of what could have been. His attempts to reconnect felt shallow and insincere.

I had to block him to find peace. Weeks helped me to forgot and for months, I enjoyed the quiet without his constant presence.

But fate has a funny way of bringing the past back. A broken phone led to his unexpected return, stirring up a whirlwind of emotions — tension, anxiety, and guilt.

I previously questioned if I had been too harsh, if I should have given him closure instead of shutting him out completely. These doubts weighed heavily on me, clouding my newfound freedom.
